Lavender is known as one of the safest of all essential oils and it is also one of the most popular!  That is one of the reasons it is so great for bath and body products.  Since ancient times it has been symbolic of cleanliness and purity. The plant naturally produces the essential oil in its plant structure in minuscule little oil sacs within the plant.  This whole plant is filled with scent in the blossoms, leaves, stems, and even the roots!
